Santa Run: 2018
The first-annual Santa Run in Gratis Township started in 2017. We were very grateful to borrow Madison Township's Santa Trailer. In 2018, we realized the Gratis Fire Department needed to provide a Santa Trailer of their own, so the community could always count on seeing Santa at their home. This event helps build trust and community relationships with the Gratis Fire Department, Gratis EMS, and West Elkton-Gratis Township Fire Department as Santa is escorted by these agencies to every home within Gratis Township and the villages of Gratis and West Elkton.
Continual Work: In Memory
Firefighters serve their communities selflessly. To pay a small homage to their sacrifice, the Gratis Firefighters' Association provides Fire Department Memorial Markers at the graves of former members of the Gratis Fire Department and West Elkton Gratis Fire District.
Fundraising

Party in the Park: 2019
We partnered with Gratis Fire and Gratis EMS to host "Party in the Park!" on July 13, 2019. This free event brought together the Gratis Township community with their first responders with live music, free food, inflatables, and visits from Careflight and Dayton Children's MICU. Community outreach events are crucial to maintain the relationship between the public and their safety agencies, and we are happy to create new memories with our residents!
